Assessment & Treatment Planning

LifeSkills ABA

The ABA Therapy Process

LifeSkills ABA is committed to providing a personalized, 1:1 approach to ABA therapy services to ensure your child makes forward progress toward their individualized treatment goals.

If you suspect that your child may be displaying signs of autism or ASD, your primary care physician will typically provide further screening before a diagnosis is made. If your physician determines that your child’s symptoms are likely caused by ASD, you will be referred to a specialist who can assess and evaluate your child’s range of symptoms and their severity.

At LifeSkills ABA, our team is here to provide services beginning with the initial assessment and continuing through to treatment planning and progress measurements.

Emotional Development

Personalized Initial Assessment

An autism diagnosis falls under a wide spectrum, which carries a range of symptoms that can range from mild to severe. During the initial assessment process, a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) from our team will conduct an evaluation that will be tailored to fit your child’s abilities and age range. After the assessment is complete, our team will be able to better understand your child’s specific behavioral or social challenges, communication limitations, motor skill delays, and other areas that may require social or emotional development.
Strategies Based

ABA Treatment Planning

We will work in collaboration with your child’s support team to ensure that our comprehensive ABA treatment plan is in alignment with current treatment goals and existing therapeutic interventions.

The right approach for your child is as unique as they are! However, your child’s ABA treatment plan may include strategies based on the following treatment modalities:

  • Positive Reinforcement
  • Discrete Trial Training
  • Naturalistic Teaching
  • Behavior Management
  • Role Playing
  • Physical and Verbal Prompting
  • Video Modeling
  • Generalization
Child’s RBT

ABA Therapy Progress Measurement

During each session, your child’s RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) will observe, analyze, and record your child’s progress in each of the predetermined areas of treatment. All notes and statistical data from each session will be entered into your child’s personal record, and parents will receive daily progress updates through the LifeSkills ABA app. Our team of qualified RBTs and BCBAs will continue to monitor your child’s progress throughout the duration of treatment and will adapt or modify your child’s individualized treatment plan as needed.
